JV Girls and Guys Perfect in Weekend Tournaments

​

The Riverview JV boys and girls teams both earn tournament wins over the weekend. 

​

The boys were in Woodstock at the Carleton County Tip off and were strong out of the gate with a 76-54 win over KV. The boys followed up with come from behind 67-65 win over Sussex to send them to the gold medal game where the boys defeated Carleton North 61-51 to claim tournament honors!

 

The Jv ladies also were strong out of the gate at the BMHS tournament defeating the host  BMHS team 68-36. A strong showing in their second game 54-22 followed by a 64-30 cross-over win sent the girls to the final with St. Malachy's out of Saint John. 

 

The girls would better the grityy St. John team for the tournament banner.

JV Boys Carleton Tourney

JV BOYS FINISH 3RD AT TUGBOAT TOURNAMENT

The JV Boys bring home Bronze from the Tugboat Tourney at KVHS. THe boys defeated the host Crusaders 75-70 in their opening game and followed up with a 88-57 win over Carleton North, both games being plaed on Friday (Nov29th).

​

The Royals faced Sussex in the Saturday Cross-over and lost a close one to the sonics 72-66 to send them to the 3rd place game where they would top BMHS 58-44 for the Bronze.

JV Boys Finish 2nd in Saint John

The JV Royals claim silver at the St. Malachy's tournament over the Nov 22/23 weekend

The boys had wins over Saint John 93-61, Rothesay 60-38 and Simonds 91-43 that set them up for the Gold medal game vs Hampton. 

​

The guys would come up just a bit short falling to the Huskies 69-62 and would have to settle for the 2nd place finish. 

Mini A Boys Finish 3rd at Home Tournament and Collect Bronze Medals

​

The U12 Mini A Boys hosted their home tournament at RES this past weekend and collected the Bronze medal for their efforts!

​

The boys lost to Moncton 44-39 but went on to defeat Kennebecasis Valley 48-40 and then Sussex 50-43 in the round robin games.

U14 A Girls Claim Tournament Gold

​

Came away with a 1st place finish at the Gene Hoffman Memorial tournament held in Fundy region over the weekend. Riverview had wins over East SJ (48-38) and over Fundy (53-33).

 

In the semi-final the Royals came back from a 5 point deficit in the fourth quarter to get the win over River Valley by a score of 52-46. Kayla Hansen had 15 points for the Lady Royals. Deanna Doucette and Kristen Girouard both helped out with 8.

​

After a slow start in the final the lady Royals again from behind 11-2 in the first quarter to defeat Hartland 41-32 for the tournament banner. Doucette, Riverview's Player of the Game would score 12 and Kayla Hansen would have an 8 point outing for the Royals.

Bronze Medal Finish For U12 A Boys at Moncton Hawks Tournament

​

Finished the Moncton Hawks tournament with a win in the third place game to claim Bronze.

 

The boys opened the tournament with a loss to Fredericton YCBC 46-43. The boys would get the win they needed over Kennebecasis to send them to the Sunday morning cross-over.

 

The cross-over loss to the host Hawks would send the boys to the 3rd place game where they defeated Sussex 52-47.
